Living with a SCI and Chiari Malformation does not mean you have to stop enjoying life. We must do our best to keep moving forward even if it is only one step at a time. Take every opportunity you can to get outside and enjoy the beauty around you. Just sitting outdoors allowing the sunshine to hit you for a few minutes can refresh you and change our outlook.
When I first attempted to go over this bridge a year agao it was almost impossible. I did it,but with great difficulty. Now, it is much easier. I definately don’t feel winded nor do I feel like I am pulling a train behind me. My legs have definately gotten stronger with my continued training at the gym and yoga.
We all face challenges, but we are also able to create opporutines that make us stronger. For me, I go to the gym, do yoga, and try everything because I want to live my best life possible.
